Highly acclaimed Yarlung Records has recently transferred twenty of their original tapes to 256fs DSD. The first four - sponsored by exaSound - are now available on https://yarlungrecords.nativedsd.com.
The "exaSound Quartet" includes Sophisticated Lady Jazz Quartet (here is Bill Milkowski’s review in The Absolute Sound), Mahler’s Symphony No. 5 (here is Jim Svejda’s review for Fanfare and KUSC-FM), Suryodaya and the percussion album Smoke & Mirrors: Vanish. All releases are mastered by Steve Hoffman and recorded by Bob Attiyeh. The DSD files, in 256, 128 and 64 fs are direct transfers from the SonoruS Series of analog tapes.
